CO2

As well as being able to use conventional CO2 sensors, XiltriX has a unique and accurate method of CO2 monitoring. Samples from up to 16 incubators can be analysed by a single CO2 sensor inside a CO2 substation. Each sample channel is measured every 20 minutes. Excess humidity is automatically removed by moisture separators. The internal CO2 sensor is automatically calibrated using outside air and a calibration gas supply. This way the CO2 measurement is always accurate regardless of drift of the CO2 sensor or changes in outside conditions.

This system provides an accurate and cost effective solution for measuring a large number of CO2 incubators

 

NEW - Unique Oxygen Sensor for IVF and Cell Culture Incubators

Many IVF and cell culture laboratories are using incubators with reduced oxygen levels in order to more closely reflect in vivo conditions and so improve embryo or cell viability. A unique new multi-channel oxygen sensor substation for the XiltriX® laboratory monitoring system from IKS (Rosmalen, The Netherlands) can accurately monitor the oxygen levels in up to 16 incubators.

Based on the proven and also unique XiltriX CO2 monitor, a single high performance oxygen sensor is combined with programmable sample switching so that the oxygen level in each of up to 16 incubators can be measured every 20 minutes. Automatic calibration can be programmed at selected intervals for long term accuracy and stability, and if a XiltriX CO2 sensor system is also in use there is no need for additional calibration gases as ambient air can be used as the oxygen standard and the CO2 calibration mixture as the zero standard!

Flow and particle measurement

XiltriX can be used to monitor the integrity of laminar flow cabinets.

Particle measurement devices for the whole area can be installed and connected through the 4-20mV inputs of XiltriX.

Flow sensors can check and monitor the airflow through cabinets continuously

 

 

Alarms

In case of equipment failure XiltriX can activate alarms, and here flexibility is the key. A variety of alarm equipment can be used, ranging from a light or siren to an e-mail, beeper or SMS. What's more, you can decide when and where the alarms are reported. XiltriX will find you, not the other way around. The SMS option includes bi-directional capability by which acknowledgement messages can be sent to the system. Messages can be cascaded from one user to another in the event of alarms not being acknowledged. Using SMS you can remotely check on the system integrity and check measuring values at any time.

Historical reports can be generated in seconds using one of many standard menu-driven options. Graphs, numerical values and statistical information are available from any sensor at any time. Graphs are automatically electronically signed and can easily be printed. Up to 8 values and up to 2 different measurement parameters can be displayed simultaneously on a single graph. This way equipment can be compared and deviations can be spotted prior to failure of the device.

All numerical and statistical data can be exported to Excel compatible files. Statistics include all commonly used values including MKT (Mean Kinetic Temperature). When a graph is zoomed in to examine a specific event or time period, the statistical data for that selected area is automatically recalculated.
